Kick out Covid-19 campus Campaign rocks LASU

Shittu Mujeba KICK OUT COVID19 CAMPUS CAMPAIGN held today at Lagos State University Main Auditorium by 10:30am, the flaging off of this epoch program is the first Institutions global fight against Covid-19. The coalition is imperative towards keeping our campus and environs save. The walk which started from 9am from Eco Library down to the main auditorium, was a starter to the program which eventually started by 10:30am. The Dean; School of Communication Prof Sunday O.A delievered the opening speech, while in attendance was the representative of the acting V.C in person of Dr. Nasser Awojobi the Director of Lasu health service explaninig how covid-19 began in Nigeria. Examination and its Backlash on Student's Health

It is a detailed inspection or study. The examination is quite sacrosanct in this part of the world we are and much emphasis is being laid on it. Right from creche even up to a professorship degree, series of examination are being written to move higher or further, Also, in some organization, for one to get promoted he ought to have written and passed certain examinations on it. However, this test of a person's knowledge (Examination) suffers from a backlash, it affects and takes a toll on the student's body, mental health and general well being. LASU DEFEATS UNILAG, UI AND OTHER UNIVERSITIES AT NANS DEBATE COMPETITION

By ABDULSEMIU MONSUROH Lagos State University defeated other universities and won first place at the Southwest Inter-tertiary debate competition organized by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) led by Comrade Kappo Olawale. The debate, themed, "Clash of Thoughts" was contested by representatives from ten universities. The grand finale took place on Thursday at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, LASU Ojo Campus. The competition officially kick started at the preliminary stage with essays submitted by 30 Tertiary Institutions across Nigeria after which a total number of 24 institutions qualified to proceed to the semi-final which took place at the MBA conference room at LASU Ojo Campus. 19 universities came up against each other in the semi Finals in a true clash of Thoughts from 38 representatives which took over 304 Minutes. LASU (Team Blue) emerged the first position, tied with UI(Team Yellow). LASU and UI emerged victors of the Semi Finals, with 8 other institution...

Lasu students wins war of words.

BY KAREEM ITUNU AND SHITTU MUJEEBAH Lagos State University students, precisely from the school of communication and Faculty of science won the maiden edition of "war of words" organised to mark the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo's birthday, in partnership with the Give Back Group, on the 10th of March, 2021. Shittu Mujeebah a 100L mass communication student and Saheed Rahmon a 400L biochemistry student was an equal participant representing Epe constituency across Lagos state. Each winner was selected from their various schools in accordance to the best from their respective constituencies The ceremony was held under strict COVID-19 protocols, held at NSPRI guest house hall, beside University of Lagos, Akoka. Mujeebah had sent in a short play upon words for the event which was dim fit for a winning write up. Examinations are nothing new, especially not for the newly admitted 200 level of the Lagos State University College of Medicine. The examination styles werent exactly identical to the previous exams written by most students and in no way identical to the most recent school examinations written in 100L pre-med school at the Lagos State Universitys Main Campus. Various Examinations styles included Essay writing, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), German Questions, OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination); Problem based questions and Objective Questions (occasionally for pharmacology students). The first semester examination for the nursing, physiology and pharmacology students really caused a lot of tension for the students due to fact that the new system comprising of essay writing and multiple choice questions (MCQ) were unlike the computer based examination students had written in their first year.
