By Samiat Ajayi The Communication Students Association COSA-LASU sports Director, Comrade Odusanya Suaib Oluwasegun popularly known as Segetoma, has made his  plans for Communication Students to be involved in  games and Sport activities known.   Some the games and sport activities include Scrabble, Monopoly, Racing, Cricket, Table Tennis, Ludo, Football among others.   COSA-LASUites have since expressed their interests in these games and sports Although the university does not make provisions for  most of the sports options, Segetoma believes by equipping Communication Students with those sport opportunities it wil give them an edge against other students and allow them to be able to represent the Faculty and the university in competitions. Also despite the short notice of the new sport activities, the Communication Students has welcomed the provision with open arms, so far there has been 18 participants for Scrabble, 45 for footbal...

Student Activist, Omomewa Shot Dead.

By Ayomide Sotubo A popular student activist, Comrade Alowonle Nurudeen popularly known as Omomewa has been confirmed to be dead.  Presently, what is obtainable is that he was shot dead in a robbery incident last night.  Speculations spreading across board report that he was shot dead, but not in a robbery incident. Other reports have also stated that he was shot dead at the school gate.  Ex-lasuites President, SAMGRIN also confirmed on social media that Omomewa was meant to pass the night at his place before his eventual death.    Omomewa was a one-time presidential aspirant in LASUSU and became famous as the "voice of the voiceless students".  He led the Educational Rights Campaign (ERC) in Lagos before he graduated.  More will be uncovered to reveal the true nature of his death in the coming days.

The selection of the 9th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University is the issue on the front burner of the newly inaugurated 12th Governing Council of the Lagos State University, as the highest authority of the institution held its inaugural meeting on Tuesday, 13th July 2021. A POTENTIAL 3RD WAVE OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC: MANAGEMENT MANDATES COMPLIANCE WITH PROTOCOLS

Lagos State government over the weekend announced the possibility of a third wave of Covid-19 pandemic in the state. This is as a result of the recent increase in the number of positive cases being reported and increase occupancy rate at the Isolation Centres. This has necessitated the need for proactive measures to mitigate spread of the infection on our campuses. The University Management therefore mandates all members of LASU community to adhere to all the preventive protocols as designed by NCDC to curtail any spread. All graduating students in the 2019/2020 Academic Session are hereby directed to upload their white background 20kb passport size photographs on the University website: www.lasu.edu.ng The upload of students passport photograph is a prerequisite for the calligraphy of certificate by the Certificates Unit of the Exams and Records Division. All concerned students are therefore advised to adhere promptly to this instruction.

NULASS Hails Governor Sanwo-Olu At 56

Lagos State Students under the umbrella of National Union of Lagos State students, NULASS has congratulated the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his 56th birthday anniversary. NULASS, in a terse statement jointly signed by its President, Nul. Shasanya Akinola, Nul. Edu Adam Olayiwola, General Secretary, Nul. Hassan Abdulsalam, Public Relations Officer 1 and Nul. Eniafe Abdulyekeen, Public Relations Officer 2, commended Sanwo-Olu for all the strong and tough decisions he had made as a governor of the state. NULASS, while commending the governor, said despite criticism the governor remained focus and that his decisions have been progressive.
