MSSN-LASU Welcomes New VC To Jummah Service

Shittu Mujeebah The Muslim Student Society Of Nigeria Lagos State University chapter MSSN-LASU welcomes the newly appointed  VC, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello,  to it's Jummah service  on Thursay  24th of september 2021.  The VC  attended the Jummah service dressed  in an islamic  regalia and was given an Islamic Name, Lateefah.    Immediately after the  Jummah service a special  prayer session was organised for her by the MSSN-LASU, in attendance was the  Student union President; Uthman Oladipupo Badmus, Students,Staffs, MSSN-LASU Executives and others  The VC openly said the Student's UnionPresident is her first son, and also added that ;"  LASU will become the First  in west African but won't be possible without everyone  support and cooperation".     Also the VC explained her effort in ensuring Lasu staff received their Salary  before 23rd of sep...

LASU's New VC Promises To Run An All-Inclusive Administration

Erioluwa Adura Lagos State University (LASU), New Vice-Chancellor,  Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has declared her keen interest to run an all inclusive administration where every voice counts in decision making process of the university. The newly appointed Vice Chancellor Is the wife of the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water resources,Olatunji Bello. Mrs Ibitoye Olatunji is also a  professor of Physiology and a former acting vice-chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU). LASUSU Unveils BRT As Alternative Transport

Leshi Adebayo Following the problems surrounding the transportation of Lagos State University LASU students, the Lagos State University Students' Union LASUSU has successfully reached an agreement with the BRT Officials along Igando Axis on Monday, 13th of September, 2021. One of the demands of the Union's meeting with the BRT officials was to prevent the recurrent issues of student's transportation to the respective destinations after school hours. Inside LASU: Lasu Emergency Medical Unit In Action

Abubakar Mariam Oniza The Lagos State University LASU  Emergency medical unit revives  a 200 level  student from the Faculty Management science, who had reportedly fainted. According to information gotten from a cyber cafe attendant who was close to the scene, the student was on his way to class with a female student. " They were on their way to class" , he added jokingly saying "lasu stress is enough to make him faint" .  Immediately the student fainted,  the medical unit of LASU  came down to the Faculty of Management science  along with some first-aiders in  an  ambulance to attend to the student.  The presence of the unit on campus  was announced by the Student's Union Public relations officer  Comr. Matthew Kolawe Olushola and he also released a B.C concerning the emergency numbers which students can call when in need of urgent medical health.

Photos: Omomewa laid to rest in Atan Cemetery

Ayomide Sotubo The remains of deceased Student activist, Nurudeen Alawonle Popularly known as Omomewa has been buried earlier today at the Atan Cemetery, Lagos.  Omomewa was killed at the school gate few weeks ago, hours after facing a disciplinary panel set up by the school management over pending allegations of his involvement in admission racketeering. The exact nature of his killing is yet to be revealed as results from the  investigations of the police differs from the account given by a staff member of the institution, Mr. Waheed Majekodunmi, who fled the scene of the event after he was also attacked. The PUNCH gathered that Police claimed that he was been stabbed as against Majek's account which claims he was shot.
