LASU Mgt. Holds 1st Batch of NYSC Pre-Mobilisation Programme For Final Year Students

​ ACJ-LASU admin The management of the Lagos State University led by its Students Affairs Division has, on Thursday, held the 1st batch of the NYSC Pre-Mobilisation Orientation programme for all final year students at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Ojo Campus.  ACJ-LASU gathered that according to the Dean, Students Affairs Division, Prof. Tajudeen Olumoko, who gave the welcome message on first day of the event, the purpose of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Pre-Mobilisation Orientation programe was to sensitize the students on procedures for online registration during their NYSC mobilisation exercise and other related issues.  Then, Deputy Registrar, Students' Affairs, Mrs. Z.F. ​ Ibrahim Damilare The 29th Faculty of Art Public Relations Officer, Adebisi Testimony Aduragbemi fondly called EriofLagos, has debunked claims that he had stepped down from the forthcoming 33rd LASUSU General Elections.  He disclosed the new development to ACJ-LASU correspondent on Wednesday. According to him, the viral claims of his supposed withdrawal are to be seen as as false and fake news as he was not aware of the story whatsoever.  In his words, “I didn't hear about any such speculation. But, I have never at any point in time dropped LASUSU aspiration. So, I am not aware of the speculation. This is fake news.’’  Speaking further, Comr. ​ Damilare Adeleye  The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, has been conferred with an Award of Excellence by the King of Igbogbo Kingdom, HRM, Oba Barr. Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali on Sunday, 20th November, 2022 in Igbogbo town, Ikorodu, Lagos State.   The VC was honoured, with the award, by the monarch during the 2022 Igbogbo Day Celebration which held at the Mikkson Onas Event Centre, Igbogbo. According to HRM, Oba Abdusemiu Kasali, the award was a testament of her forthrightness and empathy in the discharge of the management of the University. LASU Set To Hold Its 1st International Academic Fair

By Oluwanifesimi Ogunlaja The Centre for International Academic Engagements (CIAE), in conjunction with the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello is prepared to hold its first International Academic Fair on 24th of November, 2022 at the Students' Arcade, (LASU) Ọjọ Main Campus.   The University, giving an open invitation to the general members of the institution to attend the fair, will receive representatives from over 40 institutions across the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.  According to LASU management, the representatives of these institutions will be present to accept applications for both graduate and post graduate programmes at various international schools.  In addition, the schools present at the fair would offer vital information to attendees on how to proceed with their plan to study abroad. Great Lasuites, truly, the past few months have not been easy as we have been made to face an array of academic, and extracurricular activities as well as personal tasks head-on. A lot has happened in the course of this academic journey in just this year alone but the good news is that we are still here.  A few days ago, it would be an understatement to say that your capacity to tackle challenges was not overstretched once again with the release of last semester's results via the dreaded LIDC but still as said earlier, we are still here, and are ready to face a new set of tasks in this new semester.  For some, it is their last, and for some others, it is 2 out of 8 and so on but the most important thing is that we are here, still kicking, beaming with hope, feeling optimistic and positive about that bright future ahead of us. LASU VC, Professor Ibiyemi Raises Alarm Over Fake LinkedIn Account

Damilare Adeleye The Lagos State University Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello mni, has distanced herself from a fake LinkedIn account operating in her name.  In a post via her official Instagram handle on Friday, which was seen by ACJ-LASU correspondent, she described the impersonating account as fake.  Prof Olatunji-Bello urged members of the public to shun messages and report. emanating from the account as it does not link to any members of her media team.  The VC wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a LinkedIn page created and operated by some individuals in my name, the picture of which is attached here.  “I like to restate that this account is fake and is in no way linked to me or my team.  “Please disregard it and help by reporting the account to LinkedIn if you do come across it. Thank you.’’
