LIDC UPDATE: LASUSU Debunks Pasting Of Departmental Results On Notice Boards

Against the backdrop making rounds among students, the leadership of the 32nd Lagos State University Students' Union has urged individual students to shun claims that the university management is planning to paste the 2021/2022 first semester examination results on departmental notice boards.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Union's Public Relations Officer, COMR. BABATUNDE OLUWATIMILEHIN fondly called TIMI BABS on Friday, 11th November, 2022.

 This update is coming a few days after the social media was awash with a viral photo showing the biochemistry department results for a particular course titled: Introduction to Biochemistry 1 (BCH 201) which displayed on a wall suspected to be a notice board.
In what will be considered as a reaction to the claim, the 32nd LASUSU Union having conversed with the Director of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), via the statement stated that the uploading of results is still ongoing and the LIDC portal will be made available for students to download results shortly.

The statement read fully, “After a purposeful conversation with the Director of Information and communication technology of the university, the  Leadership of the 32nd Lagos State University Students' Union led by Comrade Adelakun Adeoye Moses is using this medium to inform the student populace of the following assertion:

“The Lagos State University Integrated Data Center (LIDC) portal is not faulty.

“Uploading of results is still ongoing and the LIDC portal will be made available for students to download results shortly.

“Debunk any news that indicates pasting of departmental results on notice boards.

“The Union body in constant engagement with the Directorate of ICT is assuring that the interest and welfare of the students remain of utmost importance to us.’’
