LASU VC Felicitates With Fishery Department As They Win $5,000 Millenium Oceans Global Prize

​by  ACJ-LASU admin The Lagos State University, Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello mni has congratulated the 5 students representatives of the Department of Fisheries for emerging winners of the 2022 annual Millennium Oceans prize worth Five Thousand United States Dollars ($5,000).  Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni expressing her delight in the new feat stated that the win would further strengthen the university's soaring global reputation and serve as a motivation for other students of the University.  Adeyemi Michael Akanbi, Dawodu Fareed, Obadare Samuel Adenekan, Adebola Rasheedat Adewale and Precious Onyeka Nkwor, the award winners, were supervised by Associate Professors of the department, Dr. Ayofe M. Hammed and Dr. Kafayat A. Fakoya, both Associate Professors. LASU Alumna, Mariam Ileyemi Secures Top Inequality Reporting Fellowship Job, LASU VC Showers Praises

​by ACJ-LASU admin Congratulations are in order as Mariam Ileyemi, an alumna of the Lagos State University School of Communication (LASUSOC), has been selected for the Inequality Reporting Fellowship of the Africa Centre for Development Journalism (ACDJ) alongside nine other journalists from various Nigerian media organisations. Out of 293 applications, the year 2020 graduate of Mass Communication was among the 10 successful applicants. In reaction to Miss Ileyemi's achievements, the Lagos State University, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello mni, has congratulated her and wished her a productive time on the programme.  According to a statement issued by ACDJ and signed by Adeolu Adekola, the fellowship commenced with a two-day residential training workshop held in Lagos from 7th to 10th August 2022.  Meanwhile, the ACDJ's Inequality Reporting Fellowship is a part of the collaborative media partnership supported by the MacArthur Foundation from the stable of the...
