By Similoluwa Ifedayo On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to watch the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic" as part of Lagos State University's (LASU) Faculty of Law social week organized by the LASULAW Students' Society.  As I walked into the Okunnuga moot court (the makeshift cinema), I was struck by the opulence of the decoration and the comfortable seating. The moot court had been transformed with curtains and lighting, giving it a true theatre vibe. As I settled into my seat, I was offered popcorn and a drink to enjoy during the movie. The sound and picture quality were both outstanding, making it easy to get lost in the romance on screen. The recreation of the Titanic and its magnificent interiors was breathtaking, and the portrayal of the ship's fateful voyage was both harrowing and poignant. By Similoluwa Ifedayo  On Thursday, December 15, 2022, the Asiwaju Grassroots Talk (AGT) Directorate Of Student Affairs had its combined Evangelical Seminar (LASU and LASUED), themed "Reawakening the political consciousness of students of tertiary institutions, and their indispensable participation in politics and governance" at Buba Marwa Main Auditorium, Lasu Ojo.  However, I could say that the event did more of awakening the deep hunger and anger of LASUites than the political consciousness. A few days before the seminar, LASU students were asked to join different groups and add their names to the list of attendees for the AGT. This year's competition had its semi-finals on Monday, 5th December 2022, and the grand-finale on Tuesday, 6th December 2022, featuring 10 universities out of 9 participated in the debate round and 4 moved on to the final round having scaled through rigorous stages of research, drafting, writing, editing, internalizing and speaking.
