Amidst the Global Pandemic, the 24th Convocation Ceremony of the Lagos State University, albeit suspended is scheduled to hold from Friday 30th of October, 2020 to Friday 6th of November, 2020.
The Convocation Ceremony which is usually a fun-filled event celebrating Educational excellence amongst the Graduating students of the University, wouldn't be the same this year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The University announced that the Convocation Ceremony as scheduled would hold in accordance to the NCDC regulations of Social Distancing and Prevention of the Corona Virus Disease.
In a statement released released by The Registrar, all necessary measures has been put in place for the smooth running of the Convocation Ceremony, abiding by the rules of Federal Ministry of Health,NCDC and WHO.
The Convocation Ceremony is thus arranged to hold in a Hybrid form to involve the presence of the concerned students both PHYSICALLY and VIRTUALLY.
The University further mentioned that ONLY First Class Graduating students and Recipients of Award(s) would be present PHYSICALLY at the ceremony.
More so, the TWO Best Graduating Students across each FACULTIES/COLLEGES/SCHOOLS would also be present PHYSICALLY.
All other Graduating students will join the Convocation Ceremony, VIRTUALLY.
The Dean's of each FACULTIES/COLLEGES/SCHOOLS are expected to forward the list of the Graduating Students to The Registrar on or before Friday 9th of October, 2020.
