A Relief

Kachi James

ease the pain that runs through my vein
the night light as the day looses her sight
there I sat holding on to my strain so tight
my emotions by the day slain

the ceiling seems peeling
as my soaked eyes controlled my feelings
I sort for whom I could tell
till I bid hope farewell

myself and i am my companion

the cool breeze seems polite
grazing my gaze in delight
it is to me so kind
the comfort I sort; in nature I find
today's tale I wish to rewrite
