The Lagos state university, LASU,Dept of biochemistry in faculty of science launch its first relaxation centre on Thursday, march 12, 2020 at science complex.
This project is said to be the first project done by the students legislative council(SLC)and students executive council(SEC)in collaboration with all the students in the faculty.
According to our interview with the speaker of Nigeria society of Biochemistry student SLC Abdulrahman saheed who stated that the relaxation spot plan was initiated due to the need to solve the problem affecting the students of biochemistry department and the faculty at large.
He also said the budget estimated in building the relaxation spot was 250,000 which was raised using the students annuel dues leaving the 100level student and using their personal money in the association.
"It took us 3month and with the help of some staffs in our department linking us with people who can help us get the school approval and after series of comments and humiliation we came to actualize our goals"
The relaxation spot was opened to any students in lagos state university especially the science students and according to the speaker which says this is just the beginning.
