LASUSU distributes Palliatives to students. Kareem Itunu Azeez


The 30th LASUSU executives, of the Lagos State University, under the Ashade Abdula-Basit administration, distributed to Lagos State University, students precisely those at Ojo, some relief packages which is to supplement them, during this period of general Lockdown, due to the global pandemic of COVID-19. This was carried out on the 24th of April 2020 at the Universitys' premises.

ACJ-LASU confirmed this by the Union General Secretary, Kuku Isiah, he said,
"The Publicity is true (Which was earlier circulated within the school, through the PRO Zainab (PKA Yettydlaw) and as part of the agenda of the administration and with the support of the Lagos State Government".





While the President of the Union Ashade AbdulaBasit, posted how the Union still has the mandate of the students at hand, on his Facebook page, he also acknowledge the confirmation message of the palliatives been shared to students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the social Distancing rule, as laid down by the, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).





The palliatives shared include cartons of indomie to students, and while the beneficiaries attested to the gesture of the student's Union, they however did not hide their appreciation.

While speaking to ACJ-LASU, Mnirun Teniola Aminat, showered her praises to the president for his intervention especially to them within the locality of Ojo, however another student complain of how he didn't benefit form the shared packages,  while he prefers to be called Iconic Friedman, he maintained stating on the President Facebook wall, that he didn't benefit from this even though he was on the queue all through.





The President however regards the intervention of the Lagos State Governor for recognising the importance of the student especially during times like this, this was captured on his Facebook message to the student as well as Lagos generally.
