Lagos State University has appointed Acting Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Tajudeen Abayomi Olumoko, from the Department of Marketing succeeding Prof Femi Obayori.
Dr Olumoko (Moko Phobia), who is a lecturer from the Faculty of Management Science, and marketing Department, precisely, who was formerly the acting (Dean of students affairs) DSA has been approved by the University Vice Chancellor, Prof Adigun Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, NPOM for a period of one year, starting from 18th May 2020 to 17th May 2020.
Comrade Ashade AbdulBasith, The president of Lagos State University Students’ Union, said "Dr. Olumoko happens to be someone who has been working in hands with the outgoing DSA overtime and I believe he knows what the office occupies.
" He continued, "I and the newly appointed DSA met immediately after his appointment and we discussed at length on how to continue making the welfares of the students our priority." He assured "we have mapped out plans and very soon we will start implementation on them".

The LASUSU President, praised the outgoing DSA, "Prof Femi Obayori as a solution oriented leader who finds it easier to proffer solution to students challenges both as a DSA and as a senior lecturer.
He has always been complementing the efforts of the vice chancellor in maintaining a peaceful campus environment and having uninterrupted academic calendar."
He concluded "he has always been acting in the capacity of a father to the students populace at large and I must say he is a man of his words."
Meanwhile, R.T Hon. Aromire AbdulQoyum, The Speaker, Lagos State University Student Parliamentary Council, asserted "undoubtedly, the LASUSU leadership will be collaborating with the new DSA.
Bearing in mind that our collective resolve is to work for the interest of the students". He ended "synergy between the union and the DSA is essential to make things happen positively".
He also advised the 30th LASUSU Administrator, Former Speaker, Lagos State University Student Parliamentary Council, R.T Hon. Kuku Mutiu Olayinka "my advice for the 30th administration is to continue in their pace for unity and peace on campus.
They should continue in their trend of frontiers of excellence and objective". He asserted "they have the most understanding Dean at the moment, who will at all level protect, guard and guide the interest of LASUites".
He deduced "I have no doubt, the union is in safe hands and I trust the Students’ Union will also give him the optimum support he needs"
