In this interview, Adebola Adebayo and Abdulsemiu Monsuroh met with two top officials of the IQlearners team, the CEO, Mr Okonma Victor and director of research and development Sir Chukwuma Ikeanyichukwu and alot was discussed about the initiative.
The CEO and founder of the initiative Mr Okonma Victor stated that: "IQ learners is an edtech start up that I believe strongly is the solution nigeria needs in its educational sector" as said by the founder of the Educational Technology innovation.
He furthet expantiated that "The idea behind iqlearners is understanding that many promising students in nigeria dont have access to funds to ensure they fulfil their educational aspiration.
With expensive reading material and the soaring price of education in nigeria, we've created a platform that offers free tutorial videos to jamb students and made available past questions that are easily accessible and very affordable.
We've also created a platform where students (jamb and undergraduate) can acess monetary scholarship when they pass our monthly examinations"
When also asked about the platform created, where students can access monetary scholarship once they pass monthly examinations, he made it known that it is also a feature of the IQlearners innovation on www.iqlearners.com.
Mr Okonma Victor gave an insight to the conception of the innovation stating that "The idea to start something unique is brought about by my desire for change. Alot of people complain how the government isn't doing enough for education in nigeria but very few have thought of innovative ways to salvage the situation, and that is exactly what I'm doing.
put in resources to ensure that we get the solutions that we've long awaited for.
Iqlearners is an idea I have had for quite a number of years, and after several failed attempts, we've been able to properly structure things to benefit our students. My desire to see it become a reality has fueled my persistence"
The program launch event is scheduled for two session, both of which will take place online on July 13th.
The first session will be on instagram by 12pm, while the second session by 4pm on google meet will mark the unveiling of the website.
And the guest speaker at the event will be Tomiwa Talabi, a business strategist and the founder of unilag gist, Lagoslife.
Presently, the IQlearners team is launching a website, while an android app will come 2months afterwards. Which is said to be due to limited resources.
The organization is currently not in partnership with any organisation, but is looking forward to partnering with some well known brand in other to push the initiative further as made known by the founder

The team looks forward to receiving donations to ensure the initiative continues. The tutors who conduct the tutorial needs to be paid, the scholarship needs to be funded hence the need for external support to fuel the initiative
The founder, Mr Okonma Victor gave some words of advice "Don't relent in your dreams, all your educational aspirations can be achieved once you put your mind to it"
Also speaking with Sir Chukwuma Ikeanyichukwu the Director of research and development on the IQlearners team, he made it known that the structure is tailored to the needs of students preparing for JAMB, as well as undergraduate students. The aim is to encourage academic enthusiasm and a healthy reading culture among young people.
We understand the importance of the age we're in right now ( the information age) and we know there is a proliferation of information out there.
He also noted that , People are getting informed, misinformed, and over informed, especially through the internet. IQ Learners hopes to direct their attention back to academics by offering monetary grants to students as well as preparing them for exams. The website contains comprehensive JAMB past questions for study and tutorials for undergraduates.
He finally opined thay the idea behind the scholarship feature saying its all about people taking tests and those who come out tops are rewarded financially.
