THE INCURABLE MOMENT OF GLOBAL HULLABALOO: The Case of NigeriaWritten by Hontonnu Moses

The rising trend of hullabaloo sweating out myriads of social menaces in modern society has become one of the highly threatening moment of social vices gravitating entanglements within the four corners of the world which is absolutely outrageous and disgusting. The trauma that has befallen on myriads of people today especially during this pandemic mystery is nothing but has come to erect brouhaha around the world and to toil with the social norms that have been set in accordance to the traditional ethos to promote morality or ethics. It’s not a play or an issue to handle slightly or with levity but with serious steps towards addressing these issues before they grow wings, if not, some policy makers that believe they are less concern, would soon be victimized in one way or the other before realizing the implication of their nonchalant attitude towards serious and detrimental issues.

For several scores of years, the world was perceived to be a well-cultured society where the traditional values, norms and mores were highly cherished and respected and to a large extent we live a society of co-peaceful existence among fellow neighbours where people of different tribes, ethnic groups respected and cherished human race living with harmony and love not until when the walls that shaped the originality and worth of the world began to crack bleaching out the spirit of togetherness shattered and battered.

It’s so pathetic and sardonic, that we live a world where lawlessness has become the order of the day breeding numerous of cankerworms deteriorating the society of man where the society is laid upon a chaotic or rancor foundation. It’s of great importance to address lawlessness than we ever thought or handled before because this lawlessness generates into a total state of shenanigans situation causing serious hazards on lives, properties, and also on so-called governments. Former US president, Barack Obama averred that “if we want to bring about real change, then the choice isn’t between protest and politics. We have to do them both. We have to mobilize to raise awareness, and we have to organize and cast our ballots to make sure that we elect candidates who will act on reform” truly there is a need for reformation.

The Case of Nigeria Imbroglios
Of what use is the Nigerian Policemen securing lives or curbing social misconducts in the country? rather, they are the notorious set of people in question contributing to chaos breeding massacres in the land. What a pathetic comment. We can’t continue folding hands thinking they will change one day, rather constituting more nuisances in the country, no wonder former UK Prime Minister averred that ‘Nigeria is fantastically corrupt’ this has justified that there is no corruption in some other countries but because the gravity of corruption in Nigeria is highly intense; and other neighbouring countries have in one way or the other addressed Nigeria as a ’dumping zone’ despite terming all of these, we still don’t want to think of a better change, rather deceiving ourselves demonstrating a high level of reputation at the international sphere thinking we are better than others, and they still continue deceiving us that we are one of the best in the world. Who then is fooling who?

This is because the country itself has turned to a lawless zone where outsiders come in and humiliate the people and will still be appreciated for abusing them. This is more than slavery! If we continue to put a stop to these messes proliferating in the land, and humiliating humanity, the country may like turn to pollution zone where rape, killing robbery, injustice and other sorts of unethical and unlawful idiosyncrasies truncate the lives and properties of the people.

THE RISING HULLABALOOS
RACISM

Racism is an age-old existing ideology even before colonialism in Africa. The whites are not at any time wanting good for Africa, meaning a green state under a green leaf. The purpose of Europeans to dominate the African continent was to imperialize and subjugate Africa, and not out of love but propaganda, imposing their cultures on Africa in the process of stealing away their resources. Even after colonialism, European high level of discrimination and humiliation among many Africans in diaspora treating them racially unjust, humiliating them brutally as a result of their color and hatred. Of course, this mindset has been painted in the mind of the so-called white-citizens for many scores of years, and even when the citizens are maltreating Africans, their leaders see it but choose to litigate against such humiliation but if it’s the black to white race they will bring it to justice. Racially unjust and racially bias!.

If the world still sees racism as a tool to humiliate their fellow humans, it implies that we are playing with fire. Why do we think the next think for us is to promote racism is breeding humiliation among fellow men? Are we being supported by our leaders to promote superiority through racism? Are the leaders part of this ignorant that is already massively polluting even the mind of the so-called young generations? How are we uphold love, unity, peace, and order in the world if we still choose to nurture racial discrimination? This is so exasperating and abhor!

RAPE
The world has not be freed from this scandalous mess among human beings, and this is because many governments are not taking a prompt step towards this unwelcoming attitude that is highly rampant among the male gender on female gender. It’s so lugubrious!
What RAPE injects to the victim:
*Humiliation
*Depression
*Agony
*Sexual addiction or sexual initiation
*Suicide . . . et al

The monumental rise of rape cases during this invasive pandemic period is highly disheartening, exasperating and alarming, and it’s necessary than how levity or slightly this mess has been handled in the past because this horrible behaviour is turning into habitual behaviour among majorly the male gender, on the female gender causing humiliation, killings, and depression to the victims. The outbreak of COVID-19 in Nigeria has also contributed massively on a rape case in the world, a game between the prey and the predator, what a horrible game, and this is tantamount to stealing what does not belong to you or forcefully taking what is not giving to you.

MURDER
The world in general has recorded incalculable murder cases either by crisis, rape, robbery or ambush. Many acts of social criminalities or vices may likely have led to some person’s death or demise but the fact is that the rates at which lives have been massacred today, especially through violence, are terrifying and call for addressing the major causes to this brutality in the land. Murder is a very dangerous act that many engage in either being paid to kill or as a result of grievances, but the most important thing is that, irrespective of who you are, the law is not meant to favour anyone that is found guilty in such criminal acts as the individual must be penalized by the law irrespective of his status.

In the society today, many governments still pardon a murderer after being guilty of a murder case, and this may be because of his influence in the society, and axiomatically this is tantamount to lawlessness, which is no paving way for other laws to perform efficiently, where a policeman kills unlawfully and still be granted amnesty without penalizing or litigating against such inimical act. Furthermore, the law is not meant to be impartial or bias, one of the fundamental principles or features of the rule of law.

A moment where the state of nature is solitary poor, nasty, brutal, and pathetic, what a tense moment of hullabaloo.
