LASU students to take turns in completing 2019/2020 academic session

In lieu of the resumption date as announced by the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu, the Lagos State University vice-chancellor today, 31st of August announced classes shall commence in batches a soon a the senates come to a roundtable decision tomorrow.

This was announced during an interview on the breakfast show, on 89.7 Eko FM, while taking time to announce the procedures for resumption a well as the mode of classes and lectures.

Professor Fagbohun said, (SAN) "65% of the students were able to participate in the online lectures successfully" and that the school was able to upscale its competencies during this period, while also appreciating the ICT centers in enabling the online session to be a succesful one, in face of the lockdown.

While also laying emphasis on space deficiency in the school, he revealed phases have been put in place to reduce the number of students present at different spots in the university.

He explained that 400, 500, and 600l students will take physical lectures for 2 months before the 300l and 200 level class will be allowed to resume.
While 100 level and Sandwich students will be the last batch to resume to the school. Exams will commence two months after a batch resumes school.

While following the NCDC compliance, the school has also put in place various isolation centers, a well equipped medical center, so as to be ready should there arise any issue.

The vice-chancellor also gives a breakdown of the lecturing process which he says will be from 9 am-3 pm - on Mondays and Tuesdays 300lvl Students will be on campus.

While on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only the 200 level students will be allowed to take physical lectures.
