Lagos State Governor donates #5m to Lasu's best graduating student Dimeji Sotunde.

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu, today, 17th at the 24th Lagos State University convocation donated a personal sum of Five Million Naira (#5, 000, 000) to Dimeji Sotunde, the best graduating student as well as Aanu Olabanjo the best graduating student of the masters' era, with a record-breaking CGPA of 5.0.






The announcement was made at the Lagos state house in Marina, where he is self-isolating for the COVID-19 recuperation process. 






Mr Sanwo Olu also assured the university of getting to the process of being the best in the whole of the country, while also donating a piece of land to the university for their partnership with the Cornell group.
Dimeji Sotunde who graduated with a CGPA of 4.95 would also get a scholarship to any university of his choice and at any level the state Governor has said. 






While the University's Vice chancellor is also on the verge of dropping the Barton, the governor however also give his valedictory note to the VC, saying, “He is an exceptional leader” and that the state will honor him in due course.
