NIN Registration: LASU NIMC office Comes Up With Registration Schedule For Applicants.

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office responsible for registration of the National Identification Number (NIN) in Lagos State University on Tuesday 29 December has come up with a schedule for students and non-students, concerning the compulsory NIN registration by the Federal Government.

To curb the unorganized and rowdy nature of the registration process due to large population of applicants, the officials in charge of the process came up with a date schedule for both students and non-students applicants, also aimed at making registration easier. 

According to how it went on Tuesday, there were long queues of male students, female students and outsiders or non-students respectively while lists of names of all applicants were collected. An official got hold of the list and divided the names into groups according to numbers. The names on the male students' list were divided by five making it five names or students in a group.

Each group were given dates to come for the registration proper. The same thing was done for female students and non-students. 

The reason for the schedule was to reduce rowdiness caused by the crowd and to make the registration process easier as officials are only able to register thirty people or less per day.
