LASU DEFEATED IN THEIR OWN HOME( A match between LASU and UNILAG)

The much anticipated match started by 4:14 at the Lagos State University Sport Center 20th, Tuesday April 2021.

The match was between the Lagos State University And University of Lagos, started with the Unilag team in full spirit,energy and vibe. Several attempts were made to score goals by the Unilag team in the first half and the game was also controlled by Unilag in the first half. Suddenly a goal that was not so shocking but disheartening to LASU students was scored by Unilag at exactly 4:53pm.

The excitement earlier portrayed by the students of the Lagos State University died down after the first goal by Unilag.
The first goal from Unilag was not surprising, as in the first half of the match the LASU players were not really active.

Could this be due to fear, anxiety or could it be because the LASU players are shorter than their Unilag counterparts.

As it is known there is no sport without injury and this match was no exception, as both parties suffered injuries.

The short break between the two halves that started 5:05pm was filled with music and different forms of entertainment as different dance steps filled the field.

The resumption of the second half at exactly 5:22pm was seen with much more action from the LASU players and posts were changed.
During the second half LASU missed five free kick attempts and this was demoralizing for LASUITES as they begin to troop out of the school's sport center gradually.

The LASUSU president also tried cheering Lasuites up, but all was to no avail as in the end LASU was beaten in their own home, defeated in their territory, as the match came to an end at 6:14pm.
Minimie chinchin was distributed to students as Lasuites left dejected and disappointed in their football team.

Shame, spirit of failure overwhelmed Lasuites as they walked out of the field.Unilag defeating LASU by 1-0
