Proud OOU Warriors Edge Desperate ABUAD Stars With a Lone Goal.

The Last qualification match of the HIFL Football Competition Zone C took place at the sport centre on the 22nd of April which started by 4pm.

The match was played between the OOU Warriors and ABUAD stars.Both teams prior to the game had lost their previous match and this match was a determinant to who joins the next stage of the competition between LAUTECH and FUTA .

The match started at exactly 4pm, it was a tough one has both team tried to outsmart each other in order to win the golden 3 points. OOU Warriors dominated most of the first half with little attempts from the ABUAD Stars.The number 13 player,of the ABUAD Stars was really amazing as he was fast enough to penetrate the OOU Warriors defence but it was unsuccessful.The dilly-dallying continued till the end of the first half.

The second half started by 5pm from the ABUAD Stars and showed a great deal of class but still no goal.In the midst of the close attempts, free kick/corner kick from either sides could break the tie.
The match coming to an end at 5:43pm ,the leftback and player Number 3 shocked the whole stadium with a long range strike that sinks into the far too right side of the goal post giving the OOU Warriors a late lead.

With this goal which is of no use to OOU Warriors,since they need more goals to increase their chances, played with pride and proved themselves right.
Perhaps, if the ABUAD Stars have scored more goal and won,they would have qualified.
Now, out of the six University in Zone C, only two teams are qualified for the next stage of the competition between LAUTECH and FUTA.
The competition will be concluded on the 24th of April,2021.
