The community of ogun student in Lagos(coslag)held it's an annual event in a grand style.
The event took place on 15th of May 2021 at Lagos State University, Ojo. This year theme was tagged”Cultural integration:A Tool for unity of diversity.
The event commences by 12:13pm,with an opening prayer by Mr Jaye, a member of the association. The Ogun state was recited by everyone.
The opening speech came next which was delivered by the outgoing president, the person of Sijuola olajumoke zulaykha, she gave thanks to everyone making today's event a successful one.
Different personalities were welcomed like: Mr Jeriogbe Olaniyi. (Jerry sam), the Assistant chief executive officer of information Lagos State University (Lasu), Mr Ogunkorede Henry, GMD Olydite Group of international, Chief Kolawole Adekunle Michael representing the Ade odo kingdom and also members of the Olydite Group international was also recognized.
The next thing was the brief introduction about the association which was done by Mr saka Azeez, from Lagos State polytechnic (Laspotech). He talks about the founding of Coslag which was in the year 2011,it was first known as National Association of Ogun state student (Naoss)and unification brought Coslag.
However, the “c"in Coslag was formerly known as conference but in 2017 the”c” became community. In other to Foster the unity and oneness of Ogun state student in Lagos.
The band singers of the event in person of Wale Beulah and his supreme crew gave a fantastic performance before the commencement of the main event.
The keynote speech was delivered by Mr Ogunkorede Henry, GMD Olydite Group of international, whose message was centered on the theme of the event " Cultural integration: A Tool for unity of diversity.He noted that,we should not deceive ourselves and not depend on people because the challenge most youths have now is the fear of the unknown. He also said,he will be starting a project in Lasu with this great association which is"Work while schooling,".
He end the speech by saying "if you can do it ,I can achieve it".
Mr Jeariogbe olaniyi.s ,the Assistant chief executive officer of information of Lasu. Also talk about the theme of the event and enlighten member on the Advantage of cultural diversity. He said,it increases us in cultural sensitivity and also a unifying force to achieve unity and integration.
Chief kolawole Adekunle Michael representing the Ade odo kingdom, gave advice to members of the association , he said Everyone should work harder and should pay attention to their studies.
The event also witness the award presentation to both the guest speakers and past leaders of the association in recognition of their impact to the growth of the family.
Lastly, the mantle of leadership was handed over to the new president the person of Akindele Yusuf
