Lagos State university Faculty of art student association holds their 28th election on thursday, 10th of june 2021. The Faculty consists of 7 departments: History And International (HIS),Philosophy, Religion And Peace Studies, African Traditional Communication(ATR), English and Foreign Language. The election was supervised by two Electoral Committee: Independent Electoral Committee (IEC) and Independent Petition Committee(IPC).
The process formally commenced with The Student Representative Council(SRC) election which started by 9am,the council consists of 28 members though 2 were absent for the election, each departments had 4 honourables as representatives, the coucil was held to determine the Faculty Speaker, the election was held between Hon Liadi Abdulazeez Opeyemi 14 votes (winner) and Hon Hopo Barnabas 12 votes
The election commenced by 12:33 at Central Language Laboratory(CLL),Accredictation was done by checking the requirements for voting by electorates which was their Student Identification Card ID or course form.Due to the short time frame, students rushed to cast their votes which prevented orderliness in the voting process.
In an interview with The IEC Treasurer, Ojugbesin Kayode and Hon Kaka Adams the latter stated that the security agents threatened students with teasers for their compliance. The Sub Dean of the faculty Dr Animashaun Bashiru urged the the students to maintain peace and be united
The counting of the votes started exactly by 5:20pm

The electoral process ended at 6pm.The election was free and fair but not well conducted. In a rowdy evironment the student revolted to voilence before the intervention of the security officials.
