LASUSU Unveils BRT As Alternative Transport

Following the problems surrounding the transportation of Lagos State University LASU students, the Lagos State University Students' Union LASUSU has successfully reached an agreement with the BRT Officials along Igando Axis on Monday, 13th of September, 2021.

One of the demands of the Union's meeting with the BRT officials was to prevent the recurrent issues of student's transportation to the respective destinations after school hours. According to the statement released by LASUSU PRO, Comrade Olusola Kolawole M (M.K.O), 

It reads, "the union is pleased to announce to the student populace that the Lagos State Students Union (LASUSU) has made provision for 3 BRT buses, who will be working from LASU gate to Iyana Ipaja to ease the stress of students who find it difficult to get public transit when leaving school to their destinations" 

It also added that "the union is imploring our world-class colleagues that the need for cooperation to foster more development will be needed.

Hence, the price lists of the BRT and their Destinations are provided below

LASU GATE to Igando- N100 

LASU GATE to Iyana Ipaja- N200.

However, the Union noted that public transit is not free as payment will be made when its services are rendered to students. Also, Cowry Cards will be introduced soon but cash will still be recognized as a means of transaction for the time being.
