LASU'S 25th Convocation Ceremony: All You Need To Know

By Bolaji Badmus, Adebola Aliamin
The National leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu shall be the keynote speaker at the LASU 25th  convocation lecture, as confirmed by the school.

Sequel to the meeting held with Tinubu and the Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Professor  Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, MNI. The 25th convocation is set to hold in March this year.

LASU's last convocation ceremony was held two years ago on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. The visitor to the ceremony was the Governor Babajide Sanwoolu. The convocation was termed a remarkable one by the then Vice-Chancellor, Olanrewaju Fagbohun, because the best graduating students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels set a new university record.

Oladimeji Shotunde of the Department of Business Administration set the record, as he graduated as the best graduating student with a CGPA of 4.95 while Olusola Aanu Olabanjo with a CGPA of 5.0 graduated as the best M.Sc. graduate.

This 25th convocation ceremony is for the 2019/2020 set of students who had already signed out of the university since 2021 summer. There however have been questions raised by the current graduating set if another convocation ceremony will be organised this year as they will also sign out by the end of this semester, around April.
