The Functionaries of the Gombe state University paid a visit to the Lagos State University on Tuesday, 8th February 2022 with the objective of understanding it's ingredient of prosperity in ICT and research .
The objective of the visit is to learn and understand the ingredient of prosperity in ICT and research. According to the head of the 5 man team Prof. Adepoju Oluwasanumi said "we have come to learn from one of the foremost universities in Nigeria so that we can also be like you, when the vice Chancellor made a presentation in Abuja recently, my VC was so impressed that he decided to send us to come and learn from you in areas such as research, I.C.T and Open Distant Learning.
In the absence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Boyo received the officials with the assurance of supporting them achieve their aim of their collaborative visit.
The tour started with the visit of the Directorate of research management and innovation, to the Open and Distant learning and research institute, the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology and lastly the Directorate of Enterpreneurship and skill acquisition.
The officials from Gombe State University were received by different staffs of the directorates and were eventually oppourtuned to meet with the Vice Chancellor.
After the tour, The director of research of the institution and leader of the team Prof. Adepoju said: what we have seen surpassed our expectation and we are glad for this visit, we have learnt a lot and we will definitely come back to be mentored.
