NG BUZZ Executive Limited Nominates LASU VC

    The vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello  alongside eight others have been nominated for the Feminine Nigeria Achievement Awards under the category "Most outstanding Female in tertiary institution".
    
   The annual award which is strictly intended for exemplary women in Nigeria has it's theme titled "the contribution of corporate women to the socio economic development of Nigeria in the post-COVID era" and has been scheduled to hold in Abuja, on March 2022.
   
The Feminine Nigeria Achievement Awards is organised by  The NG BUZZ EXECUTIVE LIMITED and is created to recall and remunerate women with unique and laudable professional as well personal conduct that cuts across both the public and private sectors.

Faculty of Communication Breaks Record at LASU Debate Society Word War 8

By Alasepeloluwa Precious Jenti For the second time in the history of the Lagos State University Debate Society’s (LSUDS) public speaking competition, Word War, the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies has emerged victorious, making them the first faculty to win Word War twice.  Their historic triumph came during the Word War 8 grand finale tagged , "Siege", held on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, at the Hallowed Chambers, Student Arcade, Lagos State University. The grand finale featured top contestants from the Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Law, and students from Epe Campus, with each faculty represented by two debaters.  The event also included an in-house debate and oratory competition for LSUDS members, where Moyomade Adegbite won the intra-LSUDS debate, and Chief Orator Gift claimed victory in the orators’ contest. LASU to Host Global Scholars at International Conference on Community Psychology 2026

By Ameenat Hamzat, Jenti Alasepeloluwa  Lagos State University (LASU) will host the 11th International Conference of Community Psychology (ICCP 2026), expecting over 700 international delegates from Africa, Europe, and the United States, alongside national participants, marking one of the largest international academic gatherings in Lagos for 2026. The Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, announced this development during a press conference held on Monday at the institution's Senate Building Conference Hall. Professor Olatunji-Bello outlined the conference structure, which will unfold in three phases: a pre-conference session from August 28-30, the main conference from September 1-4, and a post-conference program from September 5-7, 2026.
