Faculty Of Law Intensifies Training Ahead of Champions League Match Against School of Communication

In preparation for the LASUSU Champions League match against Mass Communication team, the Faculty of Law Football team has intensified their training in order to ensure their opponent is defeated on Monday when  the both teams will encounter each other on the football pitch. 

ACJ-LASU news correspondent gathered that, on Thursday,  there were rigorous trainings in LASU Sport Centre by the Law students' team, and the exercise took many hours in the evening. 

Speaking on the preparedness of the team, the coach, Mr Ajadi Omosore, a 400-level student,   disclosed that he was confident as the team, he claimed, is 90 percent ready to beat their counterpart.

In his words: "We are 90 per cent prepared. We train, at least, three times a week. I also organise tactical trainings where we sit down, practice and then explain tactics. We pull up videos and show them their mistakes and try to correct them and show the necessary things to do on the pitch."

When objecting the notion that law students do not show enthusiasm for social or sporting activities, the coach also revealed that: "The people have the wrong ideology. Basically, we have new set of  law students. Students who (often) train. They may not all play for the faculty, but undergo different trainings. And, this team, I carefully selected them and enforced the training on them," he stated.

While speaking with the captain, of the team, Gabriel affirmed the team's readiness to counter mass communication football team.

According to him: "We are 99 percent prepared for the match. And the remaining one percent we will determine that on field when we're playing." 

Adding on how to win the match, he said: "Football is not anymore a matter of strength. It depends on intelligence. And that is what I'm doing with my guys".

He also debunked the view that law students were not always active in sport, saying that the such opinion is what he and his team are ready to change.

The batch between Faculty of Law and school of communication is  scheduled to hold next week Monday.
