The Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU), aspirants for the position of Sports Director have filed a court case against the LASUSU Independent Electoral Committee (IEC), due to the latter disqualifying them from participating in the LASUSU General Elections.
According to reports gathered by ACJ-LASU, the claimants, Afolabi Abayomi Suilamoh and Osunkoya Emmanuel, who were vying for the position of Sports Director, were disqualified for not fulfilling some provisions of the Students Union's constitution.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State University Students Union Judicial Division, Ojo has restrained the IEC Committee from declaring Adeniran Adedamola, the third Sports Director aspirant, who is now unopposed, following the disqualification of the other two candidates, as the 32th LASUSU Sports Director pending the decision expected to be reached by the Students' High Court.
Notably, the Lagos State University Students Union election, however, holds today, Thursday, 28 April, 2022.
