Staffs, Students To Benefit 55% Scholarship As LASU Partners With Digital Company On Cloud Infrastructure

  It appears that the partnership between the management of the Lagos State University and KASI Cloud, a cloud and cigital company on 27th of October, 2022 will not only benefit the institution but also its staffs and students academically. 

  The partnership which borders on cloud infrastructure was made in order to award 55% scholarship benefits to staffs and students of the university who will be trained to be experts in the field of cloud infrastructure.

This information was made known during a meeting held at the the Vice Chancellor's Conference Room, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main campus, Ojo on Thursday, 27th October, 2022 alongside officials of both partners and published on LASU's official Instagram page.

According to the school management, the partnership was needed in order to curb and reduce the rate at which Nigerian young creatives particularly the Technology-oriented ones relocate to western countries for better means of survival. 

   Representing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, at the meeting ably was the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Adenike Boyo, while appreciating the Chief Executive Officers (CEOS) of KASI and iMason, Mr. Johnson Agogboa and Mr. Dean Nelson respectively for extending this great opportunity to Lagos State University, also noted that the institution has the best students and ICT experts and that the bodies are in discussion to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which is to benefit both parties.

Other notable staffs present at the meeting are the Director, Directorate of Information and Communication Technology, Prof. Toyin Enikomehin; Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel A. Fanu;  Bursar, Mr. Said Babatunde Olayinka, represented by Mr. Olabisi Yusuf; the University Librarian, Dr. Emmanuel Layi Adebayo, represented by Dr. Henrietta Asaju; , Acting Dean, Students' Affairs, Prof. Tajudeen Olumoko, and the Deputy Registrar, Legal Unit, Mrs Olajumoke Boyejo.

In addition, the meeting was concluded with exchange of gifts by leaders of the two bodies (LASU and KASI Cloud), followed by the address of CEOs of KASI Cloud and iMason, Mr Johnson Agogboa and Mr Dean Nelson respectively to the students present at the meeting. 

Notably, KASI Cloud alongside Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) are the partners with the Lagos State University on cloud infrastructure.
