LASUSPT Matriculates 801 Part-Time Students into 2022/2023 Academic Session

The Lagos State University School of Part-Time Studies, on 8th November, 2022 matriculated a total of 801 students for 2022/2023 Academic Session at the Buba Marwa Main Auditorium, Ojo Campus.



 Giving the opening speech at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello min congratulated the fresh students on gaining admission to participate in the numerous degree programmes available in the institution.


In her words, "Today's event is very important because it marks the official enrollment of 801 matriculating students into the Lagos State University's part-time academic programmes, having been found worthy and qualified to become bonafide students of the institution".


Speaking further, the VC said, "At the University, students' welfare is our top priority, we will continue to ensure your learning environment remains conducive and competitive. Your security in and around the University's campus is of paramount importance to the university's management".


Closing her speech, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello advised the students to take advantage of the opportunity they have to learn as she warned the matriculants to stay away from all forms of cult activity. She said, "the university has no tolerance for such activities."


Also, speaking at the event was the LASUSPT Director, Professor Oguntola Laguda, who welcomed the students and gave a brief orientation of the school of part-time studies to the matriculating students.

Laying emphasis on the need for students to abstain from unwholesome activities, Prof. Laguda warned the new students to desist from all forms of social vices and endeavor to maintain order on campus.
