Similoluwa Ifedayo, reporting from the Faculty of Law, brings us the final update on the student election.
The election process has come to an end with a calm atmosphere prevailing throughout. Members of the Faculty of Law have cast their votes and are now sitting around the Law Pavilion.
Aspirants, including DVD, were seen around the polling unit monitoring the election process. Although there was a low turnout of electors, the IEC members at the Faculty of Law managed to carry out their duties efficiently. The election was initially supposed to end at 3:30 PM but was extended to 4:00 PM to allow more members of the faculty to vote.
In related news, Oluwanifesimi Ogunlaja, reporting from the faculties of FCMS and Education, informs us that the faculties are calm as the election process draws to a close. Officials are waiting for students who still wish to vote.
Other faculties also had similar endings.
The peaceful conclusion of the student election at the Faculty of Law and other faculties seems unexpected despite the initial drama the elections started with.
