Election Update: Faculty of Law

The voting process in the Faculty of Law has hit a snag, as several students have reported that their voting pins have been used without their authorization. Enilolobo Damilola, a 400-level law student, was shocked to find that someone had already voted in her name. Other students, such as Ninioluwa and Faramola Tinde, have reported similar issues.
The anger and frustration among the members of the Faculty of Law is palpable, as they question the integrity of the voting process.
This situation raises serious concerns about the fairness of the election and the legitimacy of the outcome. The students are demanding an explanation and a resolution to this issue.
Election Update: Faculty of Art

In a concerning turn of events, executives at the Faculty of Art have set up an illegal polling unit for students to vote for their preferred candidate. Despite attempts to remove the ACJ correspondent from the polling unit, they have remained on the scene.
Students have reported that laptops provided by the electoral body have been used to manipulate their votes in favor of a preferred candidate.
In response to the illegal polling unit, the Special Adviser to the Vice Chancellor on Special Interventions, Dr. Afisi, and other officials observers have disbanded the unit and stated that students are free to vote on their own as long as they have their generated pin. One of the official observers has criticized the Independent Electoral Committee (IEC) for turning a blind eye to the illegal polling unit.
This situation highlights the need for increased transparency and accountability in the electoral process at the Faculty of Art.
Election Update: Faculty of Communication and Media Studies

Tensions are running high in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies as a conflict between a canvasser for P.R.O candidate Ibiade and the former social director aspirant, Theagegeboy, erupted. The altercation began when Theagegeboy claimed that he had withdrawn from the race to canvass for votes for Ibiade in the Faculty of Science.
In response, Ibiade's canvasser argued that Theagegeboy never had a chance to win in the first place and should not try to present himself as superior.
The situation in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies highlights the intense competition and differing opinions surrounding the ongoing student elections.
Election Update: Faculty of Education

The faculty of education held its elections in the 3 in 1 hall with many agents representing different presidential candidates. The main candidates running for the presidency are Clyde, DVD, and SAJ. According to election guidelines, only one agent from each representative was allowed to enter the polling unit to oversee the election proceedings.
However, at the faculty of education, a SONNEX agent was seen fighting with other agents outside the polling unit, claiming that none of his representative agents were inside. Other agents countered, claiming that a SONNEX agent was inside, along with other agents, monitoring the election.
Students were able to cast their votes using their school ID card or course form. Those without a means of identification were not permitted to enter the polling unit. The students of education obtained their tokens from theatre 1 and proceeded to theatre 2 to cast their ballots.
Despite the disagreement between agents, the election process was orderly, with students following the established protocols and casting their votes without disruption.
Election Update: Faculty of Social Science

The voting process is ongoing at the Department of Psychology lecture room 2 and the Eco hall within the Faculty of Social Science. At the psychology lecture room, agents are peacefully seated on one side of the hall while the electoral officers are on the other side.
Despite there being only two electoral officers, the process is running smoothly, with one operating the laptop to generate pins and the other giving out the cards. The same process is being applied at the Eco hall, where electoral officers are wearing white and green for easy identification.
However, some students who wished to remain anonymous have raised concerns of individuals collecting voters' cards to vote on behalf of students. The complainants also stated that many of the organizers were aware of the situation but took no action. The situation in the Faculty of Social Science remains under observation as the election continues.
