On Sunday, September 24, 2023, the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies (FCMS) celebrated its 23rd Special Anniversary Thanksgiving at the prestigious Chapel of Light, LASU. This momentous event brought together a community of individuals who joined in expressing their deep gratitude to God, recognizing and commemorating 23 years of extraordinary excellence.
After the heartfelt thanksgiving, Prof. Alawode, the dean of the faculty, took the podium to deliver a speech reflecting on the faculty's remarkable journey. He traced its humble beginnings from a school in Surulere to its current position as a prominent faculty within the Ojo main campus. Prof. Alawode expressed profound gratitude for the remarkable growth that has established FCMS as one of the best in Nigeria.
Furthermore, he extended his appreciation to the entire management team, staff, and students for their unwavering support throughout the years. He offered prayers for continued growth and success, aspiring to reach even greater heights in the future.
In conclusion, the ministers in charge offered their blessings in prayer, encompassing the Faculty, Dean, Staff, and Students in their heartfelt wishes. The event was attended by other esteemed members of the faculty and distinguished guests.
