LASUSU Legal Director Promises Due Legal Representation for Students

By Ayo Oladiran
The Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU) 34th Legal Director, Tijani Salaudeen has promised due legal representation for all students.

The legal director said this at a press conference on Wednesday where he unveiled members of his legal team and shared his plans with the members of the press.

According to Salaudeen, as long as the case is within the jurisdiction of the Students Judicial Council (SJC), the legal team will be available to provide representation even though the primary task of the legal director is to defend the Students Executive Council (SEC).

Furthermore, Salaudeen promised a weekly nugget to educate Students on their rights as members of the Students Union and what to do if their rights are infringed upon.

Lastly, the legal director noted that more students need to make more use of the judicial system and if they wish to not have the LASUSU legal team represent them, they can always get any 300-500 level student of the Faculty of Law to represent them as stated in the constitution.
