Lagos State University (LASU) management has directed staff and students to resume academic and administrative activities on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
The decision comes after a review of the prevailing situation in the state, according to a statement released by the university's Coordinator for Information and Public Relations, Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile.
The university had initially suspended activities on July 31 and August 1, 2024, due to the protests. However, with the latest directive, members of the university community are expected to return to campus on Tuesday.
While urging students and staff to be vigilant, the management emphasized that their well-being is of utmost importance.
The resumption of academic activities at LASU may signal a return to normalcy, but the ongoing protests across the nation remain a concern. Students and staff are advised to remain cautious and follow university guidelines.
