By Dauda Mistura There is a change in the human environment that is drastically ending lives and taking peoples’ means of livelihood from them. Over the past decade sea level has risen, temperature is increasing and weather is changing rapidly across the globe. All as a result of human activities like fossil fuel burning and deforestation which increase heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere. What does success really mean?

By Odedeyi Nafisat Abisola. "Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don't wish it were easier; wish you were better." -- Jim Rohn. Most people today think being successful is to be famous, powerful and to have attained alot of tangibles which shouldn't be. Success is something that you define yourself. So I'll say, success to me is giving back to the society and making a difference. To some, it could mean a sense of accomplishment and career progression. It could also mean being able to do things you love to do. Success has no deadline,it is not determined by a certain age or time, let's consider people like Nelson Mandela who became South Africa's president at the age of 77 after spending 27 years in jail. We all want to be successful,we chase fame, money, power, and a lot of things without asking what being successful actually is? Success is both a goal and a journey, when we reach a certain milestone, it's an element o...

Women Like That Always Turn Out To Be The Worst .

By Àjàyí Samiat We all speak about not letting stereotypes get to us, it's very easy to come all out and take this stand but how often do we practice it. The class of women that have decided to wear the hijab which is defined by Wikipedia as "a religious veil worn by Muslim women in the presence of any male outside of their immediate family, which usually covers the hair, head and chest", do so for numerous reasons but with one common cause. These women are victims of a popular stereotype because of decisions and mistakes some have made, society goes ahead to generalize and conclude they are the worst kind of people, those hiding behind the veil . Society puts women on hijab in a box, they expect and don't expect certain things from them, and express their disappointment when they fail to meet up with these expectations. After all a veiled woman is an holy woman. They expect perfection and detest mistakes, they construct a box with or without your consent and put you i...
