FASA LASU Union Leaders Express Concerns as Philosophy Building Lies in Debilitating State.

Damilare Adeleye The lives of students and staff of Lagos State University, Ojo, may be at risk as a building close to wreck and ruins is still used as a lecture room and lecturers' office. The building, which is situated at the institution's Faculty of Arts, commonly known as Philosophy Building, is wallowing in a state of shambles, lacking basic infrastructure including blackboard.  ACJ-LASU gathered that the classroom had neither a working ceiling fan nor a bulb either before, during or after lectures.  The classroom which is usually crowded with students, even while some would stand on their feet or sit on the desk to hear the lectures and take notes, remains a threat for asthmatic patients among the students. LASU 25th Convocation: Team Ojo Wins Gold In Football Competition, Others As Team Badagry, LASUCOM Share Bronze, Silver.

Leshi Adebayo   It was a victorious day for Team Ojo division of Lagos State University, LASU as they won the final football competition against Team LASUCOM by a lone goal at the LASU Sports Centre on Thursday 17, March, 2022. The competition was played by the Three LASU divisions;  Ọjọ, Badagry and LASUCOM  Ikeja – while Team Epe was absent.      Among other sports competition packaged in the Day 2 programme of the Convocation Sport Competition for staff, Team LASU took 1st place in all– 100 metres race, Relay race (both male and female) leaving the crumbs for Badagry and LASUCOM to share.   For the football competition, having won the qualifying match against Team Epe division by 2 goals to nil, Team Ojo secured a spot in the finals against Team Badagry who had an automatic final ticket as Team Epe could not make it to the competition due to unforseen circumstances. 25th LASU Convocation: Olowu Benjamin Sets New Record With 4.97 CGPA As LASU Graduates 7,232 Students.

By Leshi Adebayo and Victor Olusunde As the 25th LASU Convocation Ceremony kicks off with the Press Conference on March 16, 2021, the Vice-Chancellor  of the University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello has declared Olowu Benjamin from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Engineering Faculty) as the best graduating student with a new CGPA record of 4.97. According to ACJ-LASU correspondents, the LASU VC, Professor Ibiyemi revealed that a total of 7,232 students are expected to be graduated during the ceremonies.  Given an analysis of the data of graduating students, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello said, "It is my utmost pleasure to inform you that during this convocation ceremonies, we will be graduating 7,232 students and the breakdown is as follows:" For diploma certificates, she said, a total of 451 students will be graduating–1st class (45), upper credit (219), lower credit (183) and pass (4)" Then, a total of 4,994 students are to b...
