Oke Adetoun Photo Credit: Adesiji-Adelekan Ademilayo The National union of Lagos State student (Nulass) election was held on the 15th of May 2021 at theFederal College of Education (Technical)(FCET) . The election was peaceful as the security of the Electoral committee was tight, polices' had been provided by the commissioner of police. The governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu is aware of the programme and has despatched supervisors to the election among which are the senior special adviser, Mr. Tayo Sanyaolu the APC youth leader and the scholarship board, secretary of Independent Electoral Committee (IEC). According to one of the aspirats;Babatee, He said,"the previous elections has never been as peaceful as this" and Shasanya another presidential aspirant further said the previous 'peaceless election were caused by conflict of interest and factions. The highly anticipated annual Listen '21 event commenced 10:00am on the 19th of May 2021 at the Makanjuola lecture theatre, LASU ojo campus. It started with an introduction of what the event was based on, a speech event organised by The Lagos State University Debate society, where students listen to inspiring stories from people all around the country, expected guests like Daniel Awe, Rotimi Salami, Joyce Daniels, Shaffy Bello, Julius osimen, Samuel Ajibola(spiff), Ruby Akubueze, Fred oyetayo, Dr Ganiu Bamgbose and pst.kelvin umakhihe. Sanwo-Olu Dissolves LASU Governing Council, Gives New Directives

Fagboun ended, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu appointed a Governing Council to ensure a smooth transitioning of the previous administration to the new one, amongst other issues. But according to the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, Governor Sanwo-Olu's Special Visitation to the university had written a report on the Governing Council and this report adopted by the Governor orders fresh processing for the V.C's appointment, election of a new Governing Council by the Acting V.C and School Management Staff, and ordering compulsory leave of the Registrar to the Governing Council. Leshi Adebayo Oluwapelumi Following the events of the recent power outage in the school premises for over a month, the Association of Campus Journalist, LASU Chapter (ACJ-LASU), gathered from reliable sources, the new format for electricity supply. This information will clear the air on every rumour, fake news, confusion and any form of information going around the school and media as far as The Lagos State University power supply is concerned. As a matter of fact, currently, the school is not just running on generator as most students and staffs of the school think, but also, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) supplies electricity for period of time daily.
