This announcement was made in a solemn gathering at the hallowed chamber in Arcade on November 8, 2023. Addressing the issues that initially led to the election's nullification on November 1, 2023, Chairman Adegbola Mubarak elaborated on the reasons for the IEC's decision. These issues included a substantial disparity between manually accredited voters and electronically accredited voters, students being disenfranchised due to network issues, and concerns regarding candidates voted in with proxies. However, there were notable delays in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, where the polling unit for communication experienced a late start due to a network glitch. He said, " We have not been able to vote in our faculty due to network issues and they've been on it since 10am. The school Marshal also harassed our president. We saw him and the officer exchanging words and the next thing we saw was seeing Socrates  ( the faculty president) in the marshal's car.
