NULASS NATIONAL PULL OUT FROM JUNE 12 NATION WIDE PROTEST.

The national leadership of the National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS), led by Nulassite Akinola Shasanya has distance the union from the purported nation wide protest to hold on June 12. The statement was issued and signed by Akinola Shasanya and Adam Edu, the NULASS National President and Secretary General to the press, on Friday, June 11th in Lagos, Nigeria. Recall that the NULASS national leadership earlier supports the nation wide protest on insecurity by responsible Nigerian youths and activist but later discovered that the protest might be hijacked by hoodlums, touts and political thugs. A lot of Lagos indiegenous students under our watch have fall victim of insecurity and kidnapping across the nation. Lack Of Creativity In The Campaign Of LASU Aspirants

Image
By: Abina Olumide In my over 4 years in Lagos State University (LASU), I have witnessed many campaign strategies of aspirants for political posts in LASU and it can be said that a lot of them are not strategic or intellectual in any way. They all follow same trends of: Repetition of Name: BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT Lack of Information about the aspirant: VOTE M.O.G AS COSA TREASURER Grammatical blunders and assassination . In some campaign broadcasts and fliers, there are some poorly constructed sentences, typographical errors and wrongly spelt words. Although this might be due to the typist, attention should be paid more to things like this nevertheless. E.g SIJUADE FOR ‘ASSISTANCE’ GENERAL ‘SECETARY’ Vague agenda or Personality BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT B - Beginning of new era U- Unity H- Honesty A- Accountability R- Remedy I- Integrity. Lack of statement of achievements as a leader Lack of statement of previous or current position...
