ACJ-LASU In lieu of the resumption date as announced by the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu, the Lagos State University vice-chancellor today, 31st of August announced classes shall commence in batches a soon a the senates come to a roundtable decision tomorrow. The release states that: "The Senate of Lagos State University has elected Prof. Wahab Elias Olukorede as the Deputy Vice Chancellor ( Academics) of the University." The election, which took place today, Wednesday, 26th August, 2020 saw Prof. Wahab defeat the other candidate for the position, Prof. Ayodeji Abari, by 88 to 43 votes to emerge winner. Prof. Wahab a Professor of Sociology, and Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences succeeds Prof. Olumuyiwa Noah whose tenure ended on Monday, 24th August, 2020 after serving for 2 consecutive terms of 4 years.
