The trip, held in Badagry, aimed to equip participants with improved speaking abilities and boost their confidence levels. The retreat commenced on Thursday, 18th, 2023, with a social session led by Agosu Seide, a Law student and Public Speaking Coach. During this session, the participants had the opportunity to connect with one another and get acquainted. On Day 2 of the event, the participants had the chance to learn about various aspects of public speaking. As pioneers in the Nigerian industry, TheCable has taken a significant leap towards creating an inclusive system by developing a mobile application that ensures equal access to information for individuals with disabilities. Named "Dina," this disability-inclusive news app incorporates assistive features to cater to the diverse needs of people with visual impairment, auditory challenges, certain limb impairments and more. While its primary purpose is to provide information, Dina is designed to serve both disabled and able-bodied individuals. ​ By Rose Orenuga and Kehinde Akintan On Monday, May 8, 2023, the 33rd Lagos State University Student Union (LASUSU) Executives and parliamentarians were officially inaugurated at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Main Campus, Ojo. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, mni, and other university officials, as well as past LASUSU executives and students, were present at the ceremony. The event began with the National Assembly and School Assembly, followed by opening remarks from the Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. T. A. Olumoko, and an opening speech from the IEC Chairman, Comrade Aina Oluwafemi Ayobami. The newly elected executives and parliamentarians, who will represent over 80,000 students from the three campuses of the university, were then sworn in. In May 28, 2011, after the longest legislative session in the history of Nigeria that lasted for twelve hours, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) was signed into law, joining a league of democratic nations that have enacted this law.  The FOIA makes access to public records and information possible by obligating public authorities to make certain information about their records and activities available to the public, as well as giving the public the right to request for this information. Ten years after enacting the FOIA, which seeks to promote transparency, its results have been mixed. The latest election saw a number of shocking twists and turns, with the disqualification of the apparent front-runner only two days before the election (Stakeholder) and a call for support from him to his supporters to support Clyde.  The results of the election were surprising, with Clyde emerging as the President-Elect, leaving many students wondering how he managed to secure the majority of the votes.
