​ Ajayi Samiat Oluwatimilehin The Lagos State University Students' Union Independent Electoral Committee (IEC) has revealed campaign regulations ahead of the 34th Lagos State University Students' Union (LASUSU) elections. The IEC, operating under the name "THE PELLUCID," made these regulations public via their Instagram account in the early hours of Tuesday, October 10. Amongst them is the stipulation that campaign materials must adhere to both the institution's rules and the LASUSU Electoral Act. Additionally, these regulations strictly forbid any campaign materials from disparaging or defaming rival candidates. Also, candidates are limited to displaying a maximum of two banners and three posters per faculty, whether old or new. Violation of this rule or any campaign regulation results in a 5,000 NGN fine, with excess materials to be removed within 24 hours.
